      If the turntable turns but the microwave doesn't heat, check for relay failure. If that's not the issue, check for noise filter failure. If the problem persists, check for power supply or magnetron failure.

      If the display numbers are not illuminated, it could be due to several reasons: * No or low input voltage: Measure the input voltage; it should be 28 Volts DC. Check the load shed circuit on the aircraft. * Check the load shed circuit on the aircraft and load shed fuse in the microwave. * Check the load shed fuse in the microwave (P/N 400-1860-01 only) and noise filter. * Noise filter failure: Check the controller card for failure. * Controller card failure: Check the liner overheat thermostat. * Check the liner overheat thermostat.

      If the display is active, the +/- buttons respond, but the microwave will not count down when “Start” is pressed and the inside lamps stay on, check all door interlock switches. One or more may be stuck open or need adjustment.

      If the display is active, the +/- buttons respond, the microwave counts down when “Start” is pressed, but the turntable does not turn and the microwave does not heat, check the magnetron thermostat to see if it is open. Verify the cabin altitude is less than 9,000 feet. Check the altitude switch and check for controller card failure.

      If the display is active, the +/- buttons respond, the microwave counts down when “Start” is pressed, the turntable turns and the microwave heats, but the lamps do not light, the lamps have burned out and need to be replaced. TIA recommends that the lights be replaced in sets.
