Check wiring and connection points for damage, deteriorated insulation, or loose wires.
Inspect oven chassis for loose/missing screws, rivets, and connectors.
Inspect facia panel for legibility of lettering, lamp visibility, and numeric display.
Check oven door for warping, cracks, and ensure it closes and latches properly.
Inspect door gasket at 1500 airframe hours/6 months for damage, corrosion, or adhesion issues.
Inspect waveguide cover at 1500 airframe hours/6 months for arcing damage or burn marks.
Measure water temperature rise to determine if microwave heating meets specifications.
Observe that the carousel turns correctly when the microwave is in operation.
Check interior lights turn ON with door open, and OFF when the door is closed.
Verify that the On/Off, Plus, and Minus buttons operate correctly.
Locate the Altitude Switch Test Port on the rear panel of the microwave oven.
Connect a calibrated vacuum source to the Altitude Switch Test Port.
Apply 556 mmHg vacuum; check if oven heats water and turntable turns.
Apply 523 mmHg vacuum; check if oven does not heat water and turntable does not turn.
