FRICTION WASHER
A friction washer is located between
the
plate and the seconds wheel. As
shown, the washer
is domed slight-
ly. Check
to see that the washer
has
not become damaged during
disassembly. Too much friction will
cause too great a drag on the
movement. Too little
will cause an
erratic sweep second hand action.
A
tab has been provided on one
leg
of the friction washer. This tab
fits into a slot on the plate to
prevent the friction washer from
turning.
