The Titan Controls® Atlas 2® is a preset CO2 monitor and controller designed to regulate CO2 levels in indoor growing environments. This device monitors, maintains, and displays the CO2 concentration, ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth.
The Atlas 2® operates by monitoring the CO2 concentration in a grow room and activating a connected CO2 source (either a CO2 generator or a CO2 tank with a regulator) when levels drop below a preset set point. It features a photocell that adapts its operation based on light conditions, distinguishing between daytime and nighttime periods.
During daytime, the Atlas 2® has a preset CO2 set point of 1500 PPM (Parts per Million) with a 100 PPM dead band. When the CO2 concentration in the room drops below 1400 PPM, the 'load' output is enabled, activating the 120 VAC output to the CO2 source. Once the CO2 concentration rises above 1500 PPM, the 'load' output is disabled.
During nighttime (when the grow room is dark), the 'load' output of the Atlas 2® is disabled. However, the controller continues to monitor and display the grow room's CO2 level, but it will not activate the CO2 source.
The device uses four green LEDs to display the current CO2 concentration. An illuminated LED indicates that the concentration is at least the PPM noted under that LED. As CO2 levels rise, the LEDs corresponding to the indicated concentration remain illuminated. If the 'load' output is 'ON', the illuminated LEDs will quickly flash twice approximately every three seconds. If the controller's load output is 'OFF', the illuminated LEDs will remain solid on.
Display CO2 below 1000 PPM: All LEDs are off. The 1000 PPM LED will flash once approximately every three seconds to indicate that the sensor is functioning properly. If the load output is 'ON', the 1000 PPM LED will flash twice approximately every three seconds.
Display CO2 between 1000 PPM and 1249 PPM: The 1000 PPM LED will be illuminated. If the load output is 'ON', this LED will quickly flash twice every three seconds.
Display CO2 between 1250 PPM and 1499 PPM: The 1000 PPM and 1250 PPM LEDs will be illuminated. If the load output is 'ON', these LEDs will quickly flash twice every three seconds.
Display CO2 between 1500 PPM and 2499 PPM: The 1000 PPM, 1250 PPM, and 1500 PPM LEDs will be illuminated and remain solid.
Display CO2 above 2500 PPM: All four LEDs (1000 PPM, 1250 PPM, 1500 PPM, and 2500 PPM) will be illuminated. The 2500 PPM LED is a different shade of green to indicate a higher concentration of CO2 than normal, suggesting the user might want to seek fresh air.
Titan Controls® offers a three-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use from the date of purchase.
