Troubleshoong Tips

1. Ensure the device is fully charged
and has been connected to power for
at least three hours.
3. Force restart the device by
simultaneously pressing and holding
the Power buon and the Volume
Up
buon for 12 seconds.
4. If the buons in the above step are
held down for more than 12 seconds,
the device will go into recovery mode.
If this happens, select the
Restart Now
opon
.
To scroll through selecons,
use the Volume Up/Down buons.
Use the Power buon to make a
selecon.
5. If the Power buon or Volume
buons are not responsive, ensure
that the case is properly closed
together.
If the device stops responding or
will not power on, try the
troubleshoong steps listed
below, in order.
Device Troubleshoong
1. Toggle the screen on and off by
short pressing the Power buon.
2. Plug the device into a power
source. If the Card Reader LED lights
up amber or does not light up at all,
contact Toast Support.
3. Force Stop the Toast App by
navigang to Apps in your device’s
general sengs, scroll to the Toast
app, and tap Force Stop. Next, tap
Clear Defaults. Reopen the Toast app.
Ensure that you accept both USB
permission prompts that appear. If
you skip the prompts, they will
appear in the noficaon panel.
4. Restart the device by pressing and
holding the Power buon.
5. Uninstall and reinstall the Toast
applicaon. The Toast App can be
found in the Google Play Store or at
www.toasab.com/link/apk.
If your
device is in Offline Mode, contact
support before uninstalling Toast.
Test the card reader aer compleng
each troubleshoong step, in order.
Only connue troubleshoong if the
card reader is sll not funconal.
Card Reader Troubleshoong
The reader is disconnected. Card
transacons will not be processed.
The reader is acve. The card reader LED will
only light up when the device is ready for a
card to be swiped.
Card Reader Status
The card reader status icon appears on the top le of the screen.
2. Press and hold the Power
buon unl you see the Power
Menu. Select the opon to
Reboot.
