SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This manual includes guidelines on the operation of your device and the precautions to follow for your

• Wear safety goggles and protective gloves
• If your eyes or skin come into contact with battery acid, rinse the affected part of the body with
plenty of water and seek immediate medical assistance.
INSTRUCTION TO CHECK THE BATTERY STATUS
1. To ensure a precise test : the vehicle must be switched off for a minimum of 10 minutes OR switch on the headlights
after 3 minutes and then switch them off.
2. First, connect the black clamp to the battery’s negative terminal. Then, connect the red clamp to the battery’s po-
sitive terminal.
Always start by connecting the black clamp first.

For some high capacity batteries, the yellow output LED of the alternator can switch
on. This means that the battery is fully charged.
INSTRUCTION TO CHECK THE GENERATOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE
1. First, connect the black clamp to the battery’s negative terminal. Then, connect the red clamp to the battery’s po-
sitive terminal.
Always start by connecting the black clamp first. Ensure that the cables and the tester
are safely away from hot parts and moving parts.
