Why does my Tool Shop Air Compressor have low pressure or not enough air?
- AAngela JonesAug 1, 2025
If the Tool Shop Air Compressor experiences low pressure, insufficient air, or doesn't stop, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the tank drain valve is closed. Next, inspect for leaks using soapy water, tightening or resealing connections as needed, but avoid overtightening. Reduce air usage if it's excessive. If the compressor is too small for your needs, verify the air requirement of your accessory. If it exceeds the compressor's CFM and pressure, a larger compressor is necessary. Check the air hose for holes and replace if needed. If the tank leaks, immediately replace it; do not attempt repairs. Finally, blown seals, valve leaks, or a worn piston will require replacing the compressor assembly.
