Why reset the RC-5?
In the event that the Topcon RC-5 remote will not pair with a total station or Bluetooth communication
is problamatic, reseting the RC-5 initializes the Bluetooth module, returns all parameters to default and
resets pairing. The serial number and Bluetooth module power settings remain unchanged.
What you will need
RC-5 to be reset with a charged battery.
Resetting the RC-5
While holding the FAR button and the SEARCH button, press the POWER button to switch the RC-
5 on. Release the POWER button and continue holding the FAR and SEARCH buttons for about 10
seconds until the beep sounds 3 times. Then release both buttons.
Press and hold the FAR button for about 10 seconds. When the beep sounds several times release
the button. The two com LEDs will be lit and the FAR and SEARCH LEDs will blink while the RC
