Do you have a question about the Topgreener TGT07 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The TGT07 Digital 7-Day Timer is a heavy-duty, dual-outlet plug-in device designed for automatic control of electrical loads. It offers a comprehensive set of features for scheduling and managing connected devices, making it suitable for various applications in homes and offices.

Function Description:

The primary function of the TGT07 timer is to automatically turn connected electrical loads ON and OFF according to a user-defined schedule. It operates on a 7-day cycle, allowing for different programming on each day of the week. The timer supports up to 18 ON and 18 OFF settings, providing extensive flexibility for scheduling.

The device features a large, easy-to-read LCD screen that displays crucial information at a glance. This includes the current day of the week, the precise time (in 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator), the current operating mode (Auto/Manual), and the ON/OFF status of the connected load. When in programming mode, the screen also shows the selected program number and whether it's an ON or OFF setting.

Users can switch between Automatic and Manual modes using the "M/R" (mode) button. In Automatic mode, the timer executes the programmed schedule, turning lights or other loads ON and OFF as planned. In Manual mode, the timer's scheduled programs are bypassed, and the user can manually control the load's ON/OFF status using the "MAN" button. This provides immediate control when needed, overriding the automatic schedule.

A unique "Random" feature (RND) enhances security by turning the load ON/OFF at random times within a 30-minute window of the programmed ON/OFF times. This can simulate occupancy, deterring potential intruders.

The timer also includes a Daylight Savings Time (DST) feature, allowing users to easily adjust the clock forward or backward by one hour. This is a convenient feature for seasonal time changes, though it does not automatically adjust.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Voltage: 120VAC, 60Hz
  • Resistive Load: 15A, 1800W
  • Tungsten Load: 1200W
  • Standard Ballast Load: 1200VA
  • LED Load: 150W
  • Motor Load: 1/2Hp

These specifications indicate that the TGT07 is a robust device capable of handling a variety of electrical loads, from standard lighting and appliances to motors, within its specified power limits. The dual outlet design allows for controlling two separate devices simultaneously, provided their combined load does not exceed the timer's maximum capacity.
