CheckingtheBrake-uidLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Thebrake-uidreservoirislledandshippedfromthe
factorywithDOT3brakeuid.Checkthelevelbeforethe
machineisrststartedandevery8hoursordaily,thereafter.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,turntheOn/OffswitchtoOff,andremovethe
key.
2.Removetherubberpluginthecenterandontopof
thedashtogainaccesstothemasterbrakecylinder
andreservoir.
3.Lookatthesideofthereservoir,andensurethatthe
uidlevelisabovetheMinimumline(Figure37).
4.Iftheuidlevelislow ,cleantheareaaroundthecap,
removethecap,andllthereservoirtoabovethe
Minimumline.Donotoverll.

InspectingtheBrakes
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Brakesareacriticalsafetycomponentofthemachine.As
withallsafetycomponents,theyshouldbecloselyinspectedat
regularintervalstoensureoptimumperformanceandsafety.
Thefollowinginspectionsshouldbedoneevery100hours:
Inspectthebrakeshoesforwearordamage.Ifthelining
(brakepad)thicknessislessthan1.6mm(1/16inch),the
brakeshoesshouldbereplaced.
Inspectthebackingplateandothercomponentsforsigns
ofexcessivewearordeformation.Ifanydeformationis
found,theappropriatecomponentsmustbereplaced.
Checkthebrakeuidlevel;refertoCheckingthe
Brake-uidLevel(page33).
AdjustingtheParkingBrake
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
1.Prytherubbercoverofftheparkingbrake.
2.Loosenthesetscrewsecuringtheknobtothe
parking-brakelever(Figure38).
