  Your Toro Lawn Mower might start hard or lose power for several reasons. Stale fuel in the fuel tank could be the culprit; drain the tank and refill it with fresh gasoline. Also, check if the fuel cap vent hole is plugged and clean it or replace the fuel cap if needed. A dirty air filter restricting airflow can also cause this issue, so clean the air filter pre-cleaner and/or replace the paper air filter. Additionally, ensure the underside of the lawn mower deck is free of clippings and debris. Check the engine oil; change it if it's dirty or add oil if it's low. Finally, inspect the spark plug and adjust the gap if necessary or replace it if pitted, fouled, or cracked.
