Procedure
Important:Yourmachinedoesnotcomewithoilin
theengine,butitdoescomewithabottleofoil.Before
startingtheengine,lltheenginewithoil.
Max.ll:0.55L(0.58qtor18.6oz),type:SAE30detergent
oilwithanAPIserviceclassicationofSF,SG,SH,SJ,SL,
orhigher.
Note:Whenthecrankcaseisempty,pourabout3/4of
thecrankcasecapacityofoilinthecrankcase,thendothe
following:
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickbyrotatingthecap
counterclockwiseandpullingitout(Figure6).

3.Wipethedipstickcleanwithacleancloth.
4.Insertthedipstickintotheoil-lltube(butdonot
screwitin),thenremovethedipstick.
5.Readtheoillevelonthedipstick(Figure6).
•Iftheoillevelislow ,slowlypourasmallamountof
oilintotheoil-lltube,wait3minutes,andrepeat
steps3through5untiltheoillevelonthedipstick
iscorrect.
•Iftheoillevelishigh,draintheexcessoiluntilthe
oillevelonthedipstickiscorrect;refertoChanging
theEngineOil(page14).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcaseistoo
lowortoohighandyouruntheengine,youmay
damagetheengine.
6.Installthedipsticksecurely.
Important: Change the engine oil after the r st 5
operating hour s ;changeityearlythereafter.Refer
toChangingtheEngineOil(page14).
