forwardacoupleofcentimeters(inches).Ifthe

ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Toshutofftheengine,releasetheblade-controlbar.
Note:Removetheelectric-startbutton(ifequipped)
wheneveryouleavethemachine.
Important:Whenyoureleasetheblade-control
bar,theengineshouldshutoffandtheblade
shouldstopwithin3seconds.Iftheydonot,stop
usingyourmachineimmediatelyandcontactan

RecyclingtheClippings
Yourmachinecomesfromthefactoryreadytorecyclethegrassandleafclippingsbackintothelawn.
Iftheside-dischargechuteisonthemachine,removeitandlocktheside-dischargedeector;refertoRemoving
theSide-DischargeChute(page19)beforerecyclingtheclippings.
Important:Ensurethattherearplugislockedinplace.Tolocktheplug,raisethereardeector(A
ofFigure17),rmlypushthepluginuntilitsnapsintoplacebehindthetabs,androtatetheleveron
theplugtotheleft(BofFigure17).
