1.Removethedipstick(Figure9).

checkingthelevelwiththedipstick,untilthedipstick
indicatesthattheengineisfullasillustratedin

Procedure
Youmustcorrectlyinstalltherecycleplug(forrecycling
orside-discharging)orgrassbag(forbagging)orthe
enginewillnotstart.
Themowerhasasafetyswitch,locatedatthebottom
ofachannelonthetop,rightrearofthemower,that
preventsthemowerfromoperatingwithoutarecycle
plugorgrassbag.Thispreventsthemowerfrom
throwingdebrisattheoperatorthroughtherearchute.
Fortheswitchtodetectthepresenceoftherecycleplug,
thetopoftherecyclepluglevermustliefullyinthe
bottomofthechannel(
Figure10).
