Adjusting the Fill Reduction
System (FRS) Bafes
The ll reduction system has been designed to allow
you to reduce the amount of clippings collected
by varying degrees. The advantages include less
frequent emptying of the hopper and the return of
nutrients to the soil.
The following are possible congurations:
• Baf es open with standard blades—maximum
collection
• Baf es closed with standard blades—partial
mulching
• Baf es closed with mulch blades—intermediate
mulching
• Mulch plug installed with mulch blades—complete
mulching (requires mulch kit)
Adjust the FRS baf es as follows:
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the PT O, and engage the parking brake.
2. Shut of f the engine, remove the key , and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. Remove the hairpin cotters and clevis pins from
both sides of the PT O guard ( Figure 10 ).
4. Fold the guard forward.
