Note:Servicetheltermorefrequentlyifoperating
conditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
RemovingtheFilters
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerandpulltheair
cleanercoveroffoftheaircleanerbody(Figure34).

compressedair.
5.Gentlyslidetheairlteroutoftheaircleanerbody
(Figure34).Avoidknockingthelterintotheside
ofthebody.
6.Inspecttheairlterfordamagebylookingintothe
lterwhileshiningabrightlightontheoutsideof
thelter.Holesinthelterwillappearasbright
spots.Ifthelterisdamageddiscardit.
ServicingtheAirFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
Donotcleanthelter,replaceit.
InstallingtheAirFilter
Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewiththeairlterandcover
installed.
1.Ifinstallinganewlter,checkitforshippingdamage.
Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Carefullyslidetheairlterintothebody(Figure34).
Note:Ensurethatitisfullyseatedbypushingon
theouterrimofthelterwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinsidearea
ofthelter.
3.Installtheaircleanercoverwiththesideindicatedas
UPfacingupandsecurethelatches(Figure34).

cannotfallintothellerholeanddamagetheengine.
