topush.Thisallowshydraulicuidtoby-passthe
pumpenablingthewheelstoturn(Figure23).
Important:Donotrotateby-passvalvesmore
than1turn.Thispreventsvalvesfromcoming
outofthebodyandcausinguidtorunout.
3.Disengageparkingbrakebeforepushing.

Rotatetheby-passvalvesclockwise1turntooperate

Note:Donotovertightentheby-passvalves.

UsingtheSideDischarge
Themowerhasahingedgrassdeectorthatdisperses
clippingstothesideanddowntowardtheturf.
Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,
orcompletegrasscatcherassemblymounted
inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwith
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebriswill
causeinjuryordeath.
•Neverremovethegrassdeectorfrom
themowerbecausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mower.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaor
mowerbladesunlessyoumovethepower
takeoff(PTO)totheoffposition,rotatethe
ignitionkeytooffandremovethekey.
•Makesurethegrassdeectorisinthedown
position.
TransportingMachines
Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthe
machine.Ensurethatthetrailerortruckhasall
necessarylightingandmarkingasrequiredbylaw.
