  If your Toro Lawn Mower engine won't start, starts hard, or fails to keep running, consider the following: * Ensure the fuel tank is full. * Check that the fuel valve is open. * Make sure the choke is on. * Clean or replace the air cleaner element if it's dirty. * Ensure the spark plug wire(s) are securely connected. * Replace any pitted, fouled, or incorrectly gapped spark plug(s) with new ones. * Replace the fuel filter if it's dirty. * Ensure you're using the correct fuel type, and drain and replace if incorrect. * Add oil to the crankcase if the oil level is low.
