Why Toro Snow Blower engine does not start?
    • S
      Steven JohnsonJul 30, 2025
If the engine of your Toro Snow Blower doesn't start or starts with difficulty, make sure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed 2 times. Also, verify that the fuel tank isn't empty and that the fuel is fresh (not more than 30 days old). If the engine is flooded, move the choke to the Off position and pull the rope several times. Ensure the spark-plug wire is connected, and inspect the spark plug for damage or incorrect gap. Finally, check for any restrictions in the fuel cap vent.

If the discharge chute is plugged, stop the engine and clear it with a stick. Check and adjust or replace the control cable if needed. Inspect the drive belt for looseness or damage and replace if necessary. Finally, replace worn rotor blades and the scraper.
