Why won't my Toro Snow Blower engine start?
    • P
      Paul GoodwinAug 7, 2025
If the Toro Snow Blower engine doesn't start or starts with difficulty, make sure the key is inserted into the ignition and turned to the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed two times. Also, the fuel tank may be empty or contain stale fuel; in this case, drain the tank and refill it with a fresh gasoline-and-oil mixture (not more than 30 days old). If the engine is flooded, move the choke to the Off position and pull the rope several times. Ensure the spark-plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug and inspect the spark plug itself, adjusting the gap if needed or replacing it if pitted, fouled, or cracked. Finally, check for any restrictions in the fuel cap vent.

What to do if my Toro Snow Blower isn't throwing snow?
    • R
      Ruth WilliamsAug 17, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower runs but doesn't discharge snow well, try adjusting your walking speed and reduce the amount of snow you're trying to remove per swath, especially if the snow is heavy or wet. If the discharge chute is plugged, stop the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and use a stick to carefully remove the blockage. For models with a clutch, ensure the control cable is properly adjusted or replace it if broken. Inspect the drive belt for looseness or damage, and install or replace it as needed. Replace worn rotor blades and the scraper.
