Runtheengineafewminutesbeforechangingtheoiltowarm
it.Warmoilowsbetterandcarriesmorecontaminants.
1.Ensurethatthefueltankisnotoverlled(referto
Figure12)andthatthefuelcapissecurelyinplace.
2.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
3.Placeanoildrainpanundertheoildrainplug(
Figure
11),removetheoildrainplug,andtipthemachine
backward(handledown)halfwaytothegroundtodrain
theusedoilintotheoildrainpan.
Important:Donottipthemachinealltheway
backtotheground,orfuelmayleakoutofthe
machine.
4.Afterdrainingtheusedoil,returnthemachinetothe
operatingposition.
5.Installtheoildrainplugandtightenitsecurely.
6.Cleanaroundtheoilllcap(Figure11).
7.Unscrewtheoilllcapandremoveit.
8.Slowlypouroilintotheoilllhole.Wait3minutes,
thenchecktheoillevelonthedipstickbywipingthe
dipstickcleanandtheninserting,butnotscrewingin,
theoilllcapintothehole.
