Why does the starter solenoid click, but the Toro ProForce 44538 starter won't crank?
    • G
      Glenn GilbertAug 1, 2025
If the starter solenoid clicks but the starter won't crank on your Toro Blower, it could be due to several reasons. The battery might be discharged, so try charging or replacing it. Check the battery cables to ensure they are not loose or corroded; tighten or clean them if necessary. Also, inspect the wire harness ground cable for looseness or corrosion, and tighten or clean it as needed. Faulty wiring at the starter could also be the problem, so inspect and repair it. If the starter solenoid itself is faulty, consider replacing it. As a last resort, the starter itself might be faulty and require replacement.

What to do if the Toro ProForce 44538 engine cranks, but does not start?
    • K
      Kimberly GallagherAug 6, 2025
If your Toro Blower engine cranks but doesn't start, the ignition switch might be faulty and needs replacement. Also, inspect and repair the magneto or fuel relay and their circuit wiring if they are faulty. Another possible cause is a faulty diode, which should be replaced. The operator remote control or remote control module could also be the problem, so replace them if necessary. Inspect the engine or fuel system for malfunctions. In cold conditions, the engine and fuel may be too cold, so allow them to warm up.

How to fix a Toro ProForce 44538 Blower when the battery does not charge?
    • C
      Carrie ChambersAug 11, 2025
If the battery on your Toro Blower is not charging, check the wiring to the charging circuit components for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and repair as needed. Ensure the voltage regulator is properly grounded to the engine. If the voltage regulator itself is faulty, replace it. Also, the ignition switch or the battery might be faulty and need replacement. Finally, inspect and repair or replace the alternator stator or engine flywheel if they are faulty.

What to do if nothing happens when trying to start my Toro Blower?
    • W
      woodshaneAug 15, 2025
If nothing happens when you try to start your Toro Blower, start by checking the battery. It may be discharged, requiring a charge or replacement. Inspect and repair any loose, corroded, or damaged wiring to the start circuit components. Ensure the battery cables and wire harness ground cable are properly connected and free from corrosion; tighten or clean them if necessary. Check the main 15-amp fuse and replace it if it's loose or faulty. Replace the fusible link if it's faulty, and consider replacing the ignition switch or starter solenoid if they are not working. Finally, the operator remote control or remote control module may be faulty, so replace them if needed.

Why does my Toro Blower engine stop during operation?
    • A
      aaron32Aug 20, 2025
If your Toro Blower engine stops during operation, you might have inadvertently pressed the operator remote control button; avoid doing so accidentally. The ignition switch could be faulty and need replacement. Check and replace the fuse or fusible link if they are faulty. Faulty fuel, magneto, or power relays should be replaced. Inspect and repair any broken or disconnected wiring to the run circuit components. The operator remote control or remote control module may also be faulty, requiring replacement. Lastly, inspect the engine or fuel system for any malfunctions.

What to do if the nozzle rotation motor does not operate on my Toro ProForce 44538 Blower?
    • J
      Jennifer FowlerAug 27, 2025
If the nozzle rotation motor on your Toro Blower isn't working, check the wiring to the motor for any breaks or disconnections and repair as needed. If the wiring is fine, the nozzle rotation motor itself may be faulty and require replacement. In some cases, the operator remote control or remote control module could be the cause, so try replacing those as well.
