oflightning.
•Donotusethemachineasatowingvehicle.
•Donotchangethegovernorspeedoroverspeed
theengine.
•Useaccessoriesandattachmentsapprovedby
Toroonly.
SlopeSafety
•Establishyourownproceduresandrulesfor
operatingonslopes.Theseproceduresmust
includesurveyingthesitetodeterminewhich
slopesaresafeformachineoperation.Always
usecommonsenseandgoodjudgmentwhen
performingthissurvey.
•Slopesareamajorfactorrelatedtoloss-of-control
andtip-overaccidents,whichcanresultinsevere
injuryordeath.Operatingthemachineonany
sloperequiresextracaution.
•Operatethemachineatalowerspeedwhenyou
areonaslope.
•Ifyoufeeluneasyoperatingthemachineona
slope,donotdoit.
•Watchforholes,ruts,bumps,rocks,orother
hiddenobjects.Uneventerraincouldoverturnthe
machine.Tallgrasscanhideobstacles.
•Choosealowgroundspeedsoyouwillnothave
tostoporshiftwhileonaslope.
•Arollovercanoccurbeforethetireslosetraction.
•Avoidoperatingthemachineonwetgrass.Tires
maylosetraction;regardlessifthebrakesare
availableandfunctioning.
•Avoidstarting,stopping,orturningthemachine
onaslope.
•Keepallmovementonslopesslowandgradual.
Donotsuddenlychangethespeedordirectionof
themachine.
•Donotoperatethemachineneardrop-offs,
ditches,embankments,orbodiesofwater.The
machinecouldsuddenlyrolloverifawheelgoes
overtheedgeortheedgecavesin.Establisha
safetyareabetweenthemachineandanyhazard
(2machinewidths).
•A2-postROPS(RolloverProtectionSystem)is
availableforthemachineasanaccessory.A
ROPSisrecommendedifyouwillbemowingnext
todrop-offs,nearwater,oronsteepbankswhich
