Chapter 2: Connecting your TV
Connecting a personal computer (PC)
This connection allows you to view the image
from a PC on the TV screen. When connecting
a PC to the TV, use an analog RGB (15-pin)
computer cable and a PC audio cable.

To use a PC, set the monitor output resolution
on the PC before connecting it to the TV. The
following signals can be displayed:
VGA: 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz
SVGA: 800 x 600 @ 60 Hz
XGA: 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz
However, these signal formats are converted to
match the number of pixels of the LCD panel.
Therefore, the TV may not display small text
properly.
For the best PC viewing, set PC source to SVGA
@ 60 Hz format.
Other formats or non-standard signals will not be
displayed correctly.
To display the optimum picture, use the PC
setting feature (
“Using the PC settings
feature” on page 30).

Note:
Some PC models cannot be connected to this TV.
An adapter is not needed for computers with a
DOS/V compatible mini D-sub15-pin terminal.
Depending on the DVD’s title and the
specifi cations of the PC on which you are
playing the DVD-Video, some scenes may
be skipped or you may not be able to pause
during multi-angle scenes.
Connecting the power cord
Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC
IN terminal at the back of TV and then plug in the
power plug to an electrical outlet with standard
household power of 120V AC, 60Hz.
