Overview

This document is an owner's manual for a Toshiba Fully Automatic Washing Machine. It provides detailed instructions on safety, installation, operation, and maintenance of the appliance.

Function Description

The Toshiba Fully Automatic Washing Machine is designed for household use, specifically for washing textiles suitable for machine washing. It offers various washing programs and features to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of clothes. The machine is equipped with Ultra Fine Bubble (UFB) technology, which generates nano-sized air bubbles to deliver surfactants deep into cloth fibers, promoting easier stain removal. All washing programs incorporate the UFB function. The machine also features "GREATWAVES" technology, which shortens wash time through a special rhythm and water flow.

  • Course Selection: Allows users to choose from different washing programs based on laundry type. Available courses include:

    • TUB CLEAN: Removes dirt from inner and outer surfaces of the drum and pulsator through intermittent spinning.
    • REGULAR: Standard program for cotton fabrics, involving one wash, two rinses, and a longer spin time.

Maintenance Features

The manual provides instructions for proper maintenance to extend the appliance's working life:

  • Cleaning and Care:
    • Cabinet Cleaning: The surface should be cleaned with diluted non-abrasive neutral detergents. Any water overflow should be wiped off immediately with a wet cloth. Sharp items are forbidden. Formic acid, diluted solvents, alcohol, or other chemical products are not to be used.
    • Inlet Filter Cleaning: The inlet filter should be cleaned if water pressure drops. This involves unscrewing the inlet pipe, pulling out the filter with pliers, cleaning it with a brush, and reinstalling it.
    • Lint Filter Cleaning: The built-in lint filter collects lint during washing cycles and should be cleaned every 10 cycles. It can be removed, cleaned with water, and placed back.
  • Troubleshooting: A comprehensive table is provided to help users identify and resolve common issues such as no washing, no water flow, abnormal draining, or abnormal spin. It lists potential reasons and corresponding solutions. For persistent problems or specific alarm codes (E1-E7, FXX), users are advised to contact the service center. E1-E4 alarms on some models may require pressing the "Start" button to clear.
