      Your Toshiba Air Conditioner might not be operating due to several reasons: a power failure, the power switch being turned off, a blown power fuse or breaker, operation of the protective device (check if the operation lamp is on), the timer being set to “ON” (check if the operation lamp is on), simultaneous selection of COOL and HEAT (look for the “ ” indication on the remote control), or the outside air temperature being outside of the operating temperature range (” on the remote control display turns on, indicating automatic stop).

      These phenomena do not indicate a failure of your Toshiba Air Conditioner. White misty cold air or water may be emitted from the outdoor unit. You might hear the noise of air leak, or a “swish” sound. A slight clacking sound may be heard, or the “ ” indication may be lit. When operation has started, a sound such as water flows may be heard, and the operation sound may become larger for 2 or 3 minutes immediately after the operation has started. Sound is generated when heat exchanger, etc. expand and contract slightly due to change of temperature. Cooling operation cannot be performed because another indoor unit performs heating operation. The outdoor temperature may be out of operation temperature range. A sound is generated when the expansion valve operates when power has been turned on. ...
