Setting up the Toshiba drive

2 Connect the AC adaptor
Connect the AC adaptor to the drive and to a working electrical
outlet.

3 Connect the drive to your computer via USB
Never connect the drive to a computer with both a USB cable and an
eSATA cable at the same time. Doing so could damage the drive
and/or the computer and may cause data loss.
Connect the drive to your computer using the provided USB
cable. Turn on your computer, if it is not already on.
For initial drive setup, you must connect the drive to your computer
with a USB cable. After setup, you can connect via an eSATA cable, if
you wish. For more information, see “Connecting the drive via
eSATA” on page 13.
