Low Voltage Battery
Auxiliary Battery
• The AVALON Hybrid contains a sealed lead-acid 12 Volt battery. This 12
Volt auxiliary battery powers the vehicle electrical system similar to a
conventional vehicle. As with other conventional vehicles, the negative
terminal of the auxiliary battery is grounded to the metal chassis of the
vehicle.
• The auxiliary battery is located in the trunk. It is concealed by a plastic
resin cover on the passenger side in the rear quarter panel well.
NOTE:
An under hood label shows the location of the HV battery (traction battery)
and 12 Volt auxiliary battery.
