TR-369 is an open standards Device Management specification that enables remote
management of customer-premises equipment (CPE) over an Internet Protocol (IP)
network. The specification covers both residential and business CPE, and defines a
set of objects and corresponding actions that can be performed on those objects. The
purpose of the specification is to provide a consistent, interoperable way for Service
Providers to manage the growing variety of CPE in their networks.
TR-369 builds on existing TR-069 specifications, adding support for new device types
and use cases while maintaining backwards compatibility. As a result, TR-369 provides
a flexible and extensible framework that can be used to manage today’s CPE, as well as
tomorrow’s.
