Replacement Tube Selection & Bias
TheYCV50BcomesequippedwithEL34outputtubes.Replacementscanbeanybrand
ofEL34or6CA7andwerecommendthatthebiasvoltagebemeasuredandpossibly
adjusted(seebelow).Swappingin6L6/5881outputtubesrequiresachangeinoneofthe
biasresistorstoavoidtubeoverheating.Themodificationshouldbeperformedbyaqualified
technician.
**The YCV50B has test points and a bias adjustment pot. If you have installed new EL34/6CA7s
and wish to check and possibly adjust bias, we recommend adjusting the zero signal bias to +75
mV +/-10mV DC at each of the test points.
