Why is the flame height reduced on my TRESHOLD GAD1413T-C Outdoor Fireplace?
    • V
      Victoria StevensonAug 10, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace could be due to a couple of reasons. First, check if your LP gas tank is out of gas and exchange, refill, or replace it if necessary. Alternatively, the excess flow safety device may have been activated. To reset it, turn the control knob to 'OFF', wait 30 seconds, and attempt to light the outdoor fireplace again as per the 'Lighting' section. If the flame remains low, fully reset the overfilling prevention device by turning the control knob 'OFF', closing the LP gas tank valve, disconnecting the regulator, turning the control knob to (HIGH) and waiting one minute, turning the control knob to 'OFF', reconnecting the regulator (checking for leaks), and then lighting the outdoor fireplace again.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my TRESHOLD GAD1413T-C?
    • C
      Christopher LynchAug 14, 2025
A yellow or orange flame in your TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace could be due to a few reasons. If it's a new burner, it might have residual manufacturing oils; try burning the outdoor fireplace for 15 minutes and then check the flame again. Alternatively, spider webs or insect nests in the burner or venturi tube could be the cause; clean these components to resolve the issue. Finally, ensure that the valve is properly aligned with the burner/venturi tube.

What to do if flame goes out on TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace?
    • J
      Jon GrayAug 20, 2025
If the flame of your TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace goes out, it might be because of high or gusting winds; avoid using the outdoor fireplace in such conditions. Another reason could be low LP gas; in this case, exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Finally, the excess flow valve may have tripped. Refer to the 'Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height' section for instructions.

    • A
      Amanda HillAug 26, 2025
An irregular flame pattern in your TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace, where the flame doesn't run the full length of the burner, is likely due to clogged or blocked burner ports. Clean the burner ports to resolve this issue.

Why does my TRESHOLD GAD1413T-C lose heat in cold weather?
    • B
      baileytimothySep 4, 2025
If the flame of your TRESHOLD Outdoor Fireplace seems to lose heat when burning in cold weather (below 50ºF), ice may have built up on the outside of the LP gas tank due to a slow vaporization process. To address this, first turn the LP gas tank valve to 'CLOSED' and the control knob to 'OFF'. Then, replace the current tank with a spare. Reconnect the LP gas tank as per the 'Installing LP Gas Tank' section, check for leaks following the 'Checking for Leaks' section, and light the outdoor fireplace as described in the 'Lighting' section.
