Connectingthereceivertoavehiclebattery
WARNING–Usecautionwhenconnectingbatterycable'sclipleadstoavehiclebattery.Do
notallowanymetalobjectorjewelrytoconnect(short)thebattery'spositive(+)terminal
toeitherthenegative(‐)terminalorthemetalofthevehicleconnectedtothebattery.This
couldresultinhighcurrent,arcing,andhightemperatures,exposingtheusertopossible
injury.
WARNING–When
connectinganexternalbattery,suchasavehiclebattery,tothe
receiver,besuretousetheTrimblecablewithproperover‐currentprotectionintendedfor
thispurpose,toavoidasafetyhazardtotheuserordamagetotheproduct.
ChargingtheLithium‐ionbattery
TherechargeableLithium‐ionbatteryissuppliedpartiallycharged.Chargethebatterycompletely
beforeusingitforthefirsttime.Ifthebatteryhasbeenstoredforlongerthanthreemonths,
chargeitbeforeuse.
WARNINGChargeandusetherechargeableLithium‐ionbatteryonlyin
strictaccordance
withtheinstructions.Chargingorusingthebatteryinunauthorizedequipmentcancause
anexplosionorfire,andcanresultinpersonalinjuryand/orequipmentdamage.
Topreventinjuryordamage:
–Donotchargeorusethebatteryifitappearstobedamagedorleaking.
–ChargetheLithium
‐ionbatteryonlyinaTrimbleproductthatisspecifiedtochargeit.Be
suretofollowallinstructionsthatareprovidedwiththebatterycharger.
–Discontinuechargingabatterythatgivesoffextremeheatoraburningodor.
–UsethebatteryonlyinTrimbleequipmentthatis
specifiedtouseit.
–Usethebatteryonlyforitsintendeduseandaccordingtotheinstructionsintheproduct
documentation.
Tochargethebattery,firstremovethebatteryfromthereceiver,andthenplaceitinthebattery
charger,whichisconnectedtomainspower.
