1. Silicone sealant
2. Grommet location
3. Fit the harness grommet to the alternator cover and apply two beads of silicone
sealant, 2 mm (+/-0.5 mm), to the alternator cover to the harness rubber grommet, as
shown in the diagram below. Make sure the sealant is a minimum of 2 mm away from
any bolt holes. During manufacture ThreeBond 1216E is used.
