4. If the oil dowel and O-ring is in the transmission cover, remove it and fit it to the
bearing cap with the O-ring uppermost.

5. Remove any residual oil and sealant from the mating face of the transmission cover
and the upper crankcase using a lint free cloth.
Transmission Cover – Installation
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
