Starter Motor Drive Torque Limiter – Removal
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
Perform the following operations:
• Starter Motor - Removal
• Starter Drive Cover - Removal
The bushes for the torque limiter assembly may remain in the starter motor drive
cover and in the alternator cover.
1. Remove the starter motor drive torque limiter assembly and collect its two washers
and bushes.
