(a)
Inadequate or improper lubrication.

Teeth broken off gears.

Contact of crown wheel and pinion
not correctly adjusted.

Lubricant Leakage

Leakage in general.

Leakage at hub.

Leakage at pinion head.

Axle Knock
(a)
Splines on axle shafts or in differential
gears badly worn.

Splines on hub shell or centre of wire
wheel badly worn.

Incorrect shimming of planet gears in
differential unit.
REMEDY
(a)
Drain, flush casing out with flushing
oil and replenish with correct grade
of oil. See "General Data" Section

Replace damaged parts.

Noise during coasting;
