OIL
FILTER
In order to give the maximum protection
to the engine when subjected to high speed
or rally conditions, a new filter of the
"M
flow" type has been introduced on
the
TR3
models. This type of filter ensures
that
all
the oil in circulation passes through
the filtration system.
The
"
fd flow
"
type
of filter was intro-
duced into normal manufacture at Engine
No.
TS.l2650E., part numbers affected
by this change bemg as follows
:-
Oil filter assembly, Part No. 301994, is
repIaced by Part
No.
203271.
The replacement Element, Part No. 101963,
remains the same for both types of
lilter.
The oil pressure on the
"
fd flow
"
type
of filter remains at 70 Ibs. per sq.
in.
wlth
an
oil temperature of 70°C. at an engine
speed of
2,000
r.p.m.
The new filter assembly
can
be fitted if
desired to
an
engine prior to TS.12650E.

SUMP
A
special cast
aluminium
sump, Part No.
301318,
and
tray, Part No. 201984, are
available as optional extras.
