PAINT AND TRIM CODING SYSTEM
The
commiSSIOn
number plate affixed to the scuttle side panel bears code symbols for identification
of
the vehicle's
.exterior colour, trim material and trim colour.
Colour Code
Nine basic colours are allocated a number
as
shown in the table. Shades
of
these colours are classified
as
Ist shade, 2nd
shade, 3rd shade, etc. The number
of
each shade change prefixes the basic colour to indicate the shade colour. Dual colours
are identified
by
two code numbers separated
by
a stroke, e.g. 19/26 denotes 'White' and 'Wedgwood', the predominant
colour being White, this symbol being
quoted
first.
The main trim material
is
identified by prefixing the colour code number with a letter, e.g.:
