Overview

The AirgoClean® 110 E is an air cleaner designed for filtering room air to reduce slight and medium contaminations and odors, thereby improving air quality. It features a powerful fan that draws air in from the front, passes it through a filter for cleaning, and then releases the clean air back into the room.

Function Description

The device utilizes a 3-in-1 filter system comprising a prefilter, a HEPA filter, and a carbon filter. The prefilter, made of synthetic fiber, captures large dust particles before the air reaches the HEPA filter. The HEPA filter is crucial for removing bacteria, viruses, pollen, dust mite residue, mold fungus spores, and other allergens from the air. The integrated carbon filter, with activated carbon, effectively removes odors from the air, including those from house dust, pet allergens, cigarette smoke, smog, and particles carrying smells and viruses.

In addition to filtration, the AirgoClean® 110 E includes an ionization function. This feature releases negative ions into the room air, which help to remove pollen, dust, viruses, and bacteria, further enhancing air quality. The device is equipped with an air quality sensor that displays the current air quality and automatically controls the air purification process.

Usage Features

The AirgoClean® 110 E offers a range of operating modes and controls for user convenience:

  • Control Panel: The device features an intuitive control panel for operating and controlling its functions.
  • On/Off Button (21): Switches the device on or off.
  • Speed Button (20): Allows setting the fan speed in four stages (low, mid, high, turbo). The selected speed is indicated by the Speed LED (19).
  • Auto Mode: Activated via the Auto button (16), this mode automatically detects air quality using the air quality sensor (5) and adjusts fan speed accordingly. The Auto LED (15) illuminates when active. The air quality LED (8) indicates air quality as green (good), orange (medium), or red (poor).
  • Night Mode: Activated by the Sleep button (14), this mode generates a quiet air current adapted for sleep. The Sleep LED (13) is dimly lit, and the device operates at fan stage 1. If the light sensor (7) detects dark surroundings in automatic mode, the device automatically switches to night mode.
  • Timer Function: The Timer button (18) allows setting an automatic switch-off after 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours, indicated by the Hours LED (17).
  • Ionization Function: Activated by the ION button (12), this function releases negative ions to clean the air. The ION LED (11) illuminates when active.
  • Locking Function: To prevent unintended operation, the control panel can be locked by simultaneously pressing the Speed button (20) and the Timer button (18) for one second. The Lock LED (9) illuminates, and an acoustic signal confirms activation.
  • Memory Function: The device saves selected settings for operating mode and fan speed when switched off from standby mode, but not the timer setting. In case of short power failures, it restarts in level 1 of ventilation mode.
  • Portability: Compact dimensions and a transport handle (4) make the device easy to move.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of the AirgoClean® 110 E:

  • Filter LED (10): Illuminates when the prefilter with integrated HEPA carbon filter needs cleaning or replacement.
  • Filter Replacement: The HEPA carbon filter is pre-installed. Users must remove the plastic cover from the filter before first use. The prefilter with integrated HEPA carbon filter (22) should be cleaned or replaced if dirt is detected or at least every 6 months. The HEPA carbon filter is not washable.
  • Air Quality Sensor Cleaning: The air quality sensor (5) should be cleaned if soiled or if the air quality LED (8) remains red for an extended period. This involves cleaning the sensor cover and lens with a soft, lint-free cloth and a slightly moistened cotton bud.
  • Housing Cleaning: The device housing can be cleaned with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol-based cleaners should not be used.
  • Internal Inspection: Periodically, the inside of the device should be visually inspected for dirt after removing the air filter. A vacuum cleaner can be used to remove thick layers of dust.
  • Safety Precautions: Before any maintenance, the device must be switched off, and the mains plug disconnected from the socket. Work on electrical components should only be carried out by authorized specialists.
  • Disposal: The device should not be disposed of with household waste. It must be returned to designated collection points for electrical and electronic equipment to facilitate recycling and prevent environmental harm.
