Operation
Inserting the batteries
Insert the batteries contained in the scope of delivery (2 x 1.5V
AAA) before first use.
Caution
Make sure that the surface of the device is dry and the
device is switched off.
Using the device
1. Check the voltage detector for proper functioning before
each measurement. To do so, hold the measuring tip (4)
to a known source of voltage.
ð The measuring tip (4) flashes red.
ð A repetitive beep is emitted.
2. Detect an unknown voltage source by moving the
measuring tip of the voltage detector along the surface to
be tested. The presence of voltage is shown as follows:
ð The measuring tip (4) flashes red.
ð A repetitive beep is emitted.
Torch
• To switch on the LED torch, press and hold button 1.
• The LED turns off as soon as you release button 1.
Maintenance and repair
Battery change
A battery change is required when the device can no longer be
switched on (see chapter Inserting the batteries).
Cleaning
Clean the device with a soft, damp and lint-free cloth. Make
sure that no moisture enters the housing. Do not use any
sprays, solvents, alcohol-based cleaning agents or abrasive
cleaners, but only clean water to moisten the cloth.
Repair
Do not modify the device or install any spare parts. For repairs
or device testing, contact the manufacturer.
