Why Troy-Bilt Tiller engine will not start?
- CcartertamaraJul 30, 2025
If your Troy-Bilt Tiller engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the fuel tank isn't empty; if it is, fill it with fresh fuel. If the fuel is old, drain the tank and add fresh fuel. Check the spark plug; a fouled spark plug should be cleaned or replaced. Also, ensure the spark arrestor isn't plugged by cleaning or replacing it. If it's above 40°F outside, make sure the Cold Weather Start Lever is in the OPEN position. If it's below 40°F, set the lever to CLOSED and follow the starting instructions. Finally, try pressing the primer bulb fully and slowly 10 times.
