Overview

This document describes the TruJump STR-10FT-4P 10ft Trampoline with 4-pole Enclosure, providing assembly, installation, care, maintenance, and user instructions.

Function Description:

The TruJump STR-10FT-4P is a recreational trampoline designed for outdoor household and family domestic use. It provides a platform for jumping and exercise, equipped with a safety enclosure to prevent users from falling off. The trampoline is designed to propel users to unaccustomed heights, facilitating various body movements and trampoline skills. It is crucial that the trampoline is used under constant adult supervision by mature and knowledgeable individuals. The enclosure netting is an integral safety feature that must be properly installed and maintained to reduce the risk of users falling off the trampoline. The product is not intended for commercial, rental, school, or playground use.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Size: 10 feet in diameter.
  • Enclosure: 4-pole enclosure system.
  • Maximum User Weight: 220 lbs (100 kg).
  • Recommended Age: Not recommended for children under six (6) years of age, or for trampolines over 20 inches (51 cm) tall.
  • Materials: Constructed with quality materials, including a steel frame, UV-resistant enclosure netting, and a trampoline mat with triangle-rings for spring attachment.
  • Springs: 56 springs are used to provide the bouncing action.
  • Overhead Clearance: A minimum of 24 ft (7.3 meters) from ground level is recommended.
  • Lateral Clearance: Essential to maintain clear space around the trampoline, away from walls, structures, fences, and other play areas.
  • Warranty: The product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. The steel frame has a seven (7) year warranty.

Usage Features:

  • Single User Only: Strictly designed for one user at a time to prevent collisions and injuries.
  • Adult Supervision: Requires constant adult supervision by a knowledgeable and mature adult.
  • No Somersaults or Flips: Explicitly warns against attempting somersaults or flips due to the risk of serious injury, paralysis, or death from landing on the head or neck.
  • Proper Mounting and Dismounting: Users should climb onto the trampoline by placing hands on the frame, stepping or rolling up onto the frame, across the springs, and onto the mat. Dismounting involves walking to the side of the mat, bending over, placing hands on the frame, and stepping from the mat to the ground.
  • Central Jumping: Users should always start and maintain their jump at the center of the trampoline mat to reduce the risk of landing on the frame or springs or falling off.
  • Low Bouncing: Users are advised to stay low until they can control their bounce and land consistently in the middle of the mat.
  • Enclosure Use: The trampoline must be used with the enclosure properly installed and maintained, with the zipper and attachment system fully secured before use.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not use in windy conditions or if the trampoline surface is wet.
  • Health Restrictions: Do not use if in a cast, have previous leg, arm, head, neck, or back injury, high blood pressure, or without physician consent if pregnant.
  • Object Removal: All hard or sharp objects, including jewelry, eyeglasses, sunglasses, or hairclips, must be removed before jumping. No toys or other items should be taken onto the trampoline.
  • Site Requirements: Must be placed on a completely flat and level surface, such as grass, sand, or a play area with appropriate depth of play bark material. Not suitable for hard surfaces like concrete or tarmac.
  • Restricted Access: The trampoline should be installed in an area where access can be restricted from unauthorized and unsupervised use. During periods of non-use, the trampoline should be disassembled and stored in a secure place or the enclosure zipper and buckles closed to restrict access.
  • Basic Skills: Encourages learning fundamental trampoline skills and body positions before attempting more advanced maneuvers.

Maintenance Features:

  • Daily Pre-Inspection: Before each use, inspect legs for proper attachment or cracks, netting for tears and sagging, springs for looseness or damage, mat for tears or worn stitching, and frame for sagging or cracks.
  • Enclosure Netting Inspection: Inspect the enclosure netting for signs of UV damage, deterioration, brittleness, cracking, and tearing every time before use. This involves pinching and pulling a section of the netting. Any tear or ripping sound indicates an unsafe net that must be replaced immediately.
  • Frame Pad Inspection: Visually check the frame pad for material deterioration, tears, looseness, loss of elasticity, or other damage.
  • Replacement Schedule: It is recommended to replace the trampoline enclosure net and pad every 12 months, or earlier if any signs of wear, tear, brittleness, cracking, stretching, or weakness are observed.
  • Spring Inspection: Do not use the trampoline if any springs are stretched or damaged; replacement springs must be properly installed.
  • Authorized Parts: Only genuine TruJump replacement parts are recommended to maintain product performance and safety, and to avoid voiding the warranty.
  • Storage: The trampoline and enclosure must be stored away during harsh weather conditions (extreme wind, heat, freezing temperatures).
  • Moving the Trampoline: For short distances, all leg joints should be taped together with duct tape or heavy industry tape. Two or more people are required to lift the trampoline, keeping it steady and horizontal. For longer moves, disassembly and reassembly in the new location are recommended.
  • Rust Protection: In areas with high salt and moisture, painting the frame and springs with a rust-resistant clear coat paint is strongly recommended.
  • Anchoring: Due to the risk of wind-related damage, site-specific anchoring through a licensed local contractor is strongly advised. Wind damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If strong winds are anticipated, the trampoline should be disassembled and stored safely.
