Result should be incrementing, indicaiing that the switch has set the DE bit (e.g., 1)
due to transmission above theCIR. If not, DEfunctionality hasnot been implemented
by the network or there is
not transmission above the WR.
FRMCNT
Result should rapidly increment, indicatingthatvalid ted frames are being received.
If not, the far-end ERXBERD 6000 is not vansmittingvalidtest frames or the frame
relay network is not co&gured properly.
LOR PRM
Rdt should equal zero. If result is incrementing, then frames are being discarded
by the network. Possible causes of lost frames:
(1) there are bit errors at the physi-
cal layer, or (2) there is congestion in the switching network - frames are dmp-
ped. If there is congestion, PECN FRMs ma). increase.
