Installation Guide
Click2Fit™ Honeycomb Blinds
Fitting the blind
At the end of the rail opposite to the lever there is an adjustment
block that allows you to fine-tune the fitting of the rail. Use a
flat-head screwdriver to twist the small red plugs in toward the
centre of the rail. Slide the block out of the rail by a few millimetres,
then twist the red plugs back into their original position to fix the
block in place. Make small adjustments only, repeating as
necessary for a tight fit.
Hold the Click2Fit™ rail up against the top of the recess, then push the lever firmly
upwards until the rail snaps into place. If the rail is not quite tight enough then this can be
easily adjusted:
Friction plates are provided with the
fittings, but these are only necessary if you
find that the Click2Fit™ rail slips against
the wall of your recess once the blind is
fitted.
To fit them, peel the covers from
the sticky pads on the back, then
stick one to each end of the
Click2Fit™ rail, as shown.
Situate the front lip
of the headrail into
the front of the
bracket.
Push the back of the
headrail upwards to
lock it into the back
of the bracket.
To release the blind from the brackets at any point after installing, push firmly against the
blind’s headrail to disengage it from the front of the bracket. At the same time, twist the
back of the headrail downwards to release it from the back.

Overview

The Tuiss Click2Fit™ Honeycomb Blinds are designed for easy installation and safe operation, featuring a unique fitting mechanism and child safety measures.

Function Description:

These blinds are designed to provide privacy and light control for windows, utilizing a honeycomb structure for insulation and a Click2Fit™ rail system for tool-free installation. The primary function is to cover a window opening, with the ability to be raised and lowered to adjust light entry. The Click2Fit™ system allows for quick and secure mounting within a window recess without the need for drilling or complex tools. The blinds also incorporate a cord-operated lifting mechanism, which is managed by a cord condenser and safety cleat system to ensure child safety by preventing hazardous loops.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Fitting Mechanism: Click2Fit™ rail system for tool-free installation within a window recess.
  • Adjustment Block: Located at one end of the rail, it allows for fine-tuning the rail's fit using a flat-head screwdriver to twist small red plugs.
  • Friction Plates: Optional adhesive pads provided to prevent the rail from slipping against the recess wall, particularly useful if the rail feels loose after initial fitting.
  • Cord Condenser: A breakaway design pre-fitted to the lift cords. It separates when a horizontal force is applied, eliminating hazardous loops.
  • Cord Safety Cleat: Must be installed a minimum of 1500mm from the floor and as close to the headrail as possible. It is used to accumulate excess cord when the blind is not in use.
  • Cleat Distance (Centre to Centre) based on Blind Drop:
    • 1-1000mm drop: 100mm
    • 1001-2000mm drop: 150mm
    • 2001-3000mm drop: 300mm

Usage Features:

  • Easy Installation: The Click2Fit™ rail is designed for quick and simple installation. Users hold the rail against the top of the recess and push a lever upwards until it snaps into place.
  • Adjustable Fit: If the rail is not tight enough after initial installation, an adjustment block allows for fine-tuning. Users can twist small red plugs with a flat-head screwdriver, slide the block out slightly, and then twist the plugs back to secure the block, repeating as necessary for a snug fit.
  • Optional Friction Plates: For recesses where the rail might slip, adhesive friction plates can be applied to each end of the Click2Fit™ rail to enhance grip.
  • Headrail Engagement: The headrail is installed by first situating its front lip into the front of the bracket, then pushing the back of the headrail upwards until it locks into the back of the bracket.
  • Easy Release: To remove the blind, firmly push against the headrail to disengage it from the front of the bracket, while simultaneously twisting the back of the headrail downwards to release it from the back.
  • Child Safety Cord Condenser: The pre-fitted breakaway cord condenser automatically separates if horizontal force is applied to the cords above it, preventing the formation of dangerous loops.
  • Reassembly of Cord Condenser: If the condenser pulls apart, users should untwist the cords, slot them into the channel in one half of the condenser, and then click the two halves back together, ensuring no loose threads are trapped.
  • Cord Management with Safety Cleat: The safety cleat provides a secure method for accumulating excess cord. Users mark and drill holes, then attach the cleat to the wall. Cords are wrapped around the cleat in a figure-of-8 pattern, ensuring they are secure and no excess cord is released when the blind is fully raised.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cord Condenser Reassembly: The cord condenser is designed to be reassembled if it breaks apart, ensuring continued child safety functionality. This involves untwisting cords, slotting them into the condenser halves, and clicking the halves back together.
  • Adjustable Rail Fit: The adjustment block allows for minor adjustments to the rail's fit over time, should it become loose, ensuring the blind remains securely mounted.
  • Optional Friction Plates: These plates can be applied if the rail starts to slip, providing a simple solution to maintain stability.
