1. Pack bag with desired items. (Fig. 1)
2. Roll top of bag downwards until air inside the bag restricts rolling down further. (Fig. 2)

compress while rolling the top. You want a minimum 3 folds (1.5 rolls) to ensure waterproofness. (Fig. 3)
4. Clip the rolled up top into designated clips on the side of bag. (Fig. 4)
5. Tighten the side straps to completely compress bag. (Fig. 4)
6. If excess air is still inside of bag, open air valve one more time to make sure bag is fully compressed,
close the air valve immediately afterwards.
7. Clip together the compression straps across the top of the rolled up bag. (Fig. 5)
8. Tighten down all straps and insert excess straps into safety excess strap restraints to prevent flapping in
wind/getting caught in moving/hot parts of your motorcycle. (Fig. 7)
9. Velcro handles on both sides of bag together while bag is in transit to prevent handles from getting
caught. (Fig. 6)
Mounting Tusk Dry Duffel Bag to a Top Rack
1. Make sure bag is compressed and all excess straps are in designated safety excess strap restraints.
2. This bag is designed for use with most top racks.
3. Loop the 4 straps around/through the top rack and back through themselves.(Fig.8)(Fig. 9)
4. Strap the Tusk Medium/Large Dry Duffel Bag onto the top rack. (Fig. 12)
5. Make sure to loop straps through designated D rings to prevent Tusk Dry Duffel Bag from falling off
motorcycle. (Fig. 10)
6. Depending on the width of your top rack, use the correct D rings on the Duffel bag that matches width
of top rack. (Fig. 11)
7. Tighten both mounting straps tightly so bag is firmly compressed against the top rack. (Fig. 12)
Caution
Make sure to tie-off/secure excess strap to prevent straps from getting caught in the rear wheel, chain, or
getting burned by the exhaust.

Overview

The Tusk Dry Duffel Bag is a high-quality, durable storage solution designed for adventure riders, offering robust protection for gear in various conditions. Its primary function is to provide waterproof storage for items during motorcycle travel, ensuring contents remain dry and secure regardless of weather or terrain. The bag is engineered to be highly compressible, allowing users to maximize storage efficiency and maintain a low profile on their motorcycle.

One of the key usage features of the Tusk Dry Duffel Bag is its roll-top closure system, which is fundamental to its waterproof capabilities. To pack the bag, users simply place their desired items inside. Once packed, the top of the bag is rolled downwards. This action, combined with the integrated air valve, allows for the expulsion of excess air, enabling the bag to be fully compressed. The instructions emphasize the importance of achieving a minimum of three folds (1.5 rolls) to guarantee waterproofness, highlighting the critical role of proper closure in protecting contents from moisture. The air valve can be opened while applying pressure to the top of the bag to facilitate air release, and then closed immediately afterward to maintain the compressed state. This feature is particularly useful for reducing the overall bulk of the bag, which can improve stability and aerodynamics on a motorcycle.

After the top is rolled and compressed, it is secured using designated clips on the sides of the bag. Further compression is achieved by tightening the side straps, which pull the bag inward, making it more compact. For additional security and to prevent the rolled top from unraveling, compression straps across the top of the rolled section are clipped together and tightened. This multi-point closure and compression system ensures that the bag remains tightly sealed and its contents are held firmly in place, even during vigorous riding.

Another thoughtful usage feature is the management of excess strapping. The bag includes safety excess strap restraints, into which any loose ends of straps can be inserted. This prevents straps from flapping in the wind, getting caught in moving parts of the motorcycle (such as the wheels or chain), or coming into contact with hot components like the exhaust. This attention to detail enhances rider safety and prevents potential damage to the bag or the motorcycle. Additionally, the bag features Velcro handles on both sides that can be fastened together when the bag is in transit. This prevents the handles from snagging on external objects or flapping around, contributing to a streamlined and secure setup.

Mounting the Tusk Dry Duffel Bag to a top rack is also designed for ease and security. The bag is compatible with most top racks, making it a versatile option for many motorcycles. The mounting process involves looping four dedicated straps around or through the top rack and then back through themselves. These straps are then used to secure the duffel bag tightly onto the rack. To prevent the bag from shifting or falling off the motorcycle, the straps are looped through designated D-rings on the duffel bag. The instructions advise users to select the D-rings that best match the width of their top rack, ensuring a snug and stable fit. Both mounting straps must be tightened firmly to compress the bag against the top rack, minimizing movement and maximizing stability during travel.

Maintenance features for the Tusk Dry Duffel Bag primarily focus on ensuring its longevity and continued performance. Users are advised to make sure all excess straps are tied off or secured to prevent them from getting caught or burned. This proactive measure helps preserve the integrity of the straps and the bag itself. Regular inspection of the luggage is also recommended, both before riding and throughout adventures. This is crucial because as contents shift during travel, straps can become loose. By periodically checking and re-tightening the straps, users can maintain the bag's secure attachment and prevent potential issues.

In the event that replacement straps or buckles are needed, the manual directs users to a specific website, indicating that components are available for repair or replacement. This suggests a commitment to the product's long-term usability and provides a clear path for maintenance and repair, rather than requiring a full bag replacement for minor component failures. This approach supports sustainability and extends the life of the product.

Overall, the Tusk Dry Duffel Bag is characterized by its robust design, user-friendly features for packing and mounting, and practical considerations for maintenance and safety. Its waterproof roll-top closure, effective compression system, secure strap management, and adaptable mounting options make it an ideal choice for adventure riders seeking reliable gear protection. The emphasis on proper usage and regular inspection ensures that the bag performs optimally throughout its lifespan, providing peace of mind for riders on their journeys.
