Self maintenance procedure
Gear cable inner replacement
Removal
● Loosen lock nut (A) and adjuster nut (B) at engine end
● Remove cover handle bar ( C ) by loosening two screws
● Remove the lock clip ( D )
● Remove the handle bar sleeve and take out pulley gear
shift.
● Pull out cable inner gear shift
● Loosen pulley gear shift nut at engine end and take the
pulley out
Assembly
● Connect gear cable inner to pulley gear shifter at handle
bar end.
● Insert cable inner through cable outer and adjuster
● Take out adjuster gearshift cable from stopper
● Loosen pulley nut and take out pulley
● Pull out cable inner and connect to pulley at engine end
through pinge bolts
● Apply oil on inner and route it through outer and holes
provided in the pulley gear shifter and tighten pinge bolts.
Gear cable assembly at engine end.
Gear cable assembly at handlebar end.
