Users are instructed to read all instructions before installing, operating, or servicing the appliance. The appliance should only be used for its intended purpose. Safety alerts are categorized as Danger, Warning, or Caution.
- DANGER: Indicates that failure to follow the safety statement will result in severe personal injury or death. This unit contains R600a (Isobutane), a flammable hydrocarbon. Users should not use sharp objects to expedite defrosting, service the unit without consulting the "R600a specifications" section in the User Guide, or damage the refrigerant circuit. Service must be performed by factory-authorized personnel, and parts must be replaced with like components to avoid increasing the risk of ignition.
- WARNING: Indicates that failure to follow the safety statement could result in serious personal injury or death.
- CAUTION: Indicates that failure to follow the safety statement may result in minor or moderate personal injury, property, or equipment damage. Damages caused by ambient temperatures of 40°F (5°C) are also noted under caution.
Environmental Requirements:
The unit is designed to operate between 50°F (10°C) and 100°F (38°C). Operating in higher ambient temperatures may reduce the unit's ability to reach low temperatures or reduce ice production. For optimal performance, the unit should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat-generating equipment. Condensation on outside surfaces in high humidity and dew point climates is considered normal and will evaporate as humidity drops.
Door Swing:
U-Line units feature zero clearance when installed adjacent to cabinets.
- Integrated Models: For integrated models installed next to a wall, a 1/4" (6 mm) clearance from the wall on the hinge side is recommended to allow the door to open 90°. Additional space should be accounted for any knobs or pulls installed on the integrated panel/frame.
- Stainless Steel Models: For stainless steel models installed next to a wall, a 2-1/4" (57 mm) door clearance on the hinge side is required to accommodate the door handle.
General Installation:
- Use a level to confirm the unit is level, placing it along the top and side edges.
- If the unit is not level, remove the grille and adjust the feet as necessary.
- Confirm the unit is level after each adjustment.
Installation Steps:
- Plug in the power cord.
- Gently push the unit into position, ensuring the power cord is not entangled.
- Re-check the leveling from front to back and side to side, making any necessary adjustments. The unit's top surface should be approximately 1/8" (3 mm) below the countertop.
- Install the anti-tip bracket.
- Remove tape from glass shelves and wipe the inside of the unit with a clean, water-dampened cloth.
Installation Tip:
If the room floor is higher than the cut-out opening, adjust the rear feet to achieve a total unit rear height of 1/8" (3 mm) less than the opening's rear height. Shorten the unit height in the front by adjusting the front feet. This allows the unit to be gently tipped into the opening. Adjust the front feet to level the unit after it is correctly positioned.

U-Line recommends allowing the unit to run overnight before loading with product.
Sabbath Mode:
This unit is Star-K certified and offers a Sabbath mode, which disables system responses to user-initiated activities and all external functions, including lighting, display, and audible alarms. The unit will still maintain internal temperatures and set points. A full list of Star-K certified U-Line units is available at www.star-k.org.

Warranty (U-LINE CORPORATION LIMITED WARRANTY):
- U-Line warrants each product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year (two years on Modular 3000 Series) from the date of purchase. The sealed system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, hot gas bypass valve, dryer, and connecting tube) is warranted for five years from the date of purchase.
- During the initial one-year warranty period (two years on Modular 3000 Series), U-Line will repair or replace any defective product or part. For Marine, RV, and Domestic U-Line products sold and serviced in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada, U-Line is responsible for labor costs incurred by an authorized service company for defective part replacement. During years two through five for the sealed system, U-Line will, at its option, repair or replace any part of the sealed system and cover labor costs for replacement in the specified regions. All other charges, including transportation and labor costs not specifically covered, are the purchaser's responsibility. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser. Product registration is encouraged via the included card or online at www.u-lineservice.com.
- Floor display models have a 30-day warranty from the date of retail purchase, provided the Product Registration Card is completed and mailed back or electronically submitted. This 30-day warranty does not cover cosmetic damages. Proof of purchase may be required.
- Exclusions from this limited warranty: Use of non-recommended cleaners, installation charges, damages from disasters (fire, floods, wind, lightning), shipping, improper installation, unauthorized modification, misuse/abuse, customer education calls, food loss/spoilage, door/water level adjustments (except during the first 30 days), defrosting, control adjustments, door reversal, and condenser cleaning.
- U-Line products are designed for ambient temperatures between 50°F and 100°F unless otherwise noted. Exposure to temperatures outside this range may degrade performance, reduce ice production, or spoil contents, and these issues are not covered under warranty. Units should not be subjected to temperatures below 40°F without following winterization and vacation shutdown procedures.
- Outdoor Limited Warranty: Applies to U-Line models suitable for outdoor use as noted by Underwriters Laboratory ("UL") in the U-Line Product Catalog, website, and/or serial tag.
- Outdoor products may come into contact with rain. Exposure to other water sources (flooding >1/8" deep, hurricanes, splashing pool water, hose sprays) will void this warranty.
- If a product defect is discovered during the warranty period, U-Line must be promptly notified at 8900 N. 55th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53223 USA or +1.800.779.2547, or the dealer. Notification must be received within 30 days of the warranty period's expiration. U-Line may require defective parts to be returned for inspection at the purchaser's expense. Any action for breach of warranty must be commenced within one year after the applicable warranty period.
- Disclaimer: This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. U-Line's sole liability and exclusive remedy are set forth in the paragraphs above. U-Line has no liability for incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the sale, use, or installation of the product, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other theory of liability. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion/limitation of incidental/consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply. This warranty grants specific legal rights, and other rights may vary by state.
