    Why is the barcode on my U-Line ZEBRA ZD410 Printer label not scanning?

      The barcode on the label may not scan because there is not enough blank space around it. Leave at least 1/8 in. of blank space around the barcode (referred to as the quiet zone) and other printed areas on the label and between the barcode and the edge of the label. This requirement varies by barcode type. Another reason could be a void or missing print in a barcode, text or graphic in a printed form. In this case, perform Cleaning the Printer to remove contaminants on the printheads. Reprint and test the barcode. Use the Printer and Network Configuration Reports from Cleaning the Printer to see if the printhead has damaged printhead elements. Verify that the large black bar on the bottom of the printed test label does not have any streaks or voids after thoroughly cleaning the printhead.

      If your printed image doesn't look right, it could be due to several reasons: * The printhead might be dirty, in which case you should clean it. * Ensure you're using the power supply that came with the printer. * The printhead may be worn out and need replacement. Note that using unapproved media may shorten its life or damage it. * The platen (drive) roller may need cleaning or replacement.

      Vertical image or label drift can occur due to several reasons: * The platen (drive) roller might be dirty, so clean the printhead and platen roller. * The media may be loaded incorrectly, so ensure it is loaded correctly. * You might be using incompatible media. Use media that meets the printer specifications, ensuring that the inter-label gaps or notches are 3 to 4 mm and consistently placed.
