Overview

The U.S. SOLID Ultrasonic Cleaner is a versatile device designed for efficient and thorough cleaning of various objects across numerous industries. It utilizes the principle of cavitation, where high-frequency sound waves generated by transducers at the bottom of the tank create microscopic bubbles in a cleaning solution. These bubbles rapidly collapse, producing high shearing energies that attack every surface and invade all recesses and openings of the submerged objects, effectively removing stains and debris.

Function Description:

The ultrasonic cleaner's primary function is to provide deep and gentle cleaning for items that require meticulous attention, such as semiconductors, electrical and electronic machines, precision machines, optical devices, hardware and machinery parts, medical instruments, electroplating components, car parts, and chemical fibers. It offers both digital and mechanical control options, allowing users to precisely manage cleaning parameters like time and temperature. The digital models feature a control board with digital displays for both heat and ultrasonic functions, enabling precise setting and monitoring of temperature and working time. Mechanical models, on the other hand, use rotary knobs for adjusting these parameters.

Important Technical Specifications:

The U.S. SOLID Ultrasonic Cleaner series comes in various models, both digital (USS-UC01 to USS-UC06) and mechanical (USS-UC11 to USS-UC16), each offering different capacities and power levels to suit diverse cleaning needs.

Common Specifications across models:

  • Frequency: All models operate at a consistent ultrasonic frequency of 40 kHz, which is ideal for a wide range of cleaning applications, balancing effective cleaning with material safety.
  • Working Time: All models have a maximum working time of 0-30 minutes per cycle, with a recommended 20-minute rest time between cycles to prevent overheating and damage.
  • Max. Heating Temperature: The maximum heating temperature for all models is 80°C (176°F), ensuring effective cleaning for various solutions without reaching excessive temperatures.

Usage Features:

  • Preparation: Before operation, the cleaner should be placed on a flat, stable surface. Items to be cleaned are placed inside a cleaning basket, which is then gently lowered into the tank. It is crucial not to place items directly on the tank bottom to avoid damage to the transducer.
  • Solution Management: The cleaning solution should be added according to the object being cleaned, ensuring the volume is over 2/3 of the tank capacity when heating is active. It is strictly forbidden to heat flammable liquids due to the risk of fire from prolonged vibration increasing fluid temperature.
  • Power Connection: The cleaner must be plugged into a grounded outlet, and the power switch at the back should be turned to the "on" position.
  • Digital Control (Digital Models):
    • Time Setting: Users can increase or decrease the working time in 1-minute increments using the TIME+ and TIME- buttons. Pressing ON/OFF activates the ultrasonic function, indicated by a red light, and the timer begins counting down. The cleaner automatically stops when the timer reaches 00:00.
    • Temperature Setting: Upon turning on, the display shows room temperature. TEMP+ and TEMP- buttons allow users to set the desired temperature. The display shows both the set and actual temperatures while heating. The heater indicator turns off once the set temperature is reached.
  • Mechanical Control (Mechanical Models):
    • Time Setting: A right rotary knob is used to set the working time. Rotating clockwise increases time, while anticlockwise rotation shortens it, in 1-minute increments. The ultrasonic indicator turns red when activated, and the machine stops when the knob reaches OFF.
    • Temperature Setting: A left rotary knob controls the heating function. Rotating it clockwise or anticlockwise increases or decreases the setting temperature. The heater indicator turns off when the actual temperature reaches the set temperature.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Always ensure the machine is grounded and unplugged before filling or emptying.
    • Keep the control panel and surrounding area dry to prevent electrical shock.
    • Never immerse the cleaner or power cord in water.
    • Do not disassemble the machine.
    • Use only water-based solutions; flammable or corrosive liquids are prohibited.
    • Avoid touching the tank or solution when hot.
    • Do not exceed 80°C (176°F) fluid temperature.
    • Do not place hands or fingers in the tank during operation.
    • Use the lid to reduce noise and prevent splashing/steam burns.
    • Avoid using the machine in areas with extreme temperature changes, high humidity, strong vibrations, corrosive gases/dust, or where water/oil/chemicals may splatter.
    • Do not cover vents.
    • Do not run continuously for more than 30 minutes.
    • Ensure the liquid volume is over 2/3 when heating.
    • Do not relocate the machine with fluid in the tank.
    • Place items gently into the basket; do not drop them or place them directly on the tank.

Maintenance Features:

  • Post-Operation Cleaning: After use, the machine should be unplugged, the tank emptied, and the unit cleaned with a cloth.
  • Warranty and Support: U.S. SOLID provides a 12-month warranty for replacement parts due to quality issues. A 15% restocking fee applies to opened returns within 30 days of delivery. The warranty is void if instructions are not followed or if damage is caused by force majeure.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as no ultrasonic function (power supply, fuse, cable, transducer, PCB board issues), time control failure (timer malfunction), no heating (heater circuit, fuse, heating pad, digital display issues), temperature control failure (thermostat issues), poor cleaning effect (liquid level, temperature, solution suitability), and electric leakage (ungrounded socket). For complex issues, customers are advised to contact U.S. SOLID customer service at service@ussolid.com.
  • Parts: Only original manufacturer parts should be used for repairs to ensure safety and performance.
