FLIP-UP HELMET
If the helmet is too loose and thus does not sit
optimally on your head, you can replace the
thinner cheek pads with the thicker ones.
Each cheek pad is fastened in the helmet by
means of four snaps. You can simply pull out
the pads.
The thicker cheek pads can now also be
fastened in the helmet by means of the four
snaps.
Each snap must audibly lock into place.
Acoustic padding (Fig. H)
The acoustic padding (14) serves to reduce
noise, especially when driving at high speeds.
Press the acoustic padding into the cavity of
the cheek pads. The acoustic padding side
equipped with Velcro faces the helmet shell.
Front ventilation (Fig. I)
The front ventilation (6) can be opened and
closed by means of a slide switch.
Top ventilation (Fig. J)
The top ventilation (1) can be opened and
closed by means of a slider.
Winter collar
To reduce the wind intake at the bottom side of
the helmet at very cold temperatures, the pre-
mounted standard collar (12) can be replaced
with the wide winter collar (11) supplied.
Removing the standard collar (Fig. K)
Loosen the attachment in the middle of the
standard collar rst.
To do this, pull the standard collar centrally.
Now pull each end of the collar until the
standard collar is completely detached.
Inserting the winter collar (Fig. L)
Hook the winter collar into the pins on both
sides of the helmet.
Then press the opening in the middle of the
winter collar into the central pin on the helmet.
Now you can fully insert the winter collar.
Changing the visor
If the visor (9) is damaged or scratched too
much, you can replace it with a spare visor.
Removing the visor
Slide the visor to the top position (fully
open) (Fig. M).
Pull the visor lock lever and remove the
visor (Fig. N).
Inserting the visor
Put the spare visor on the mounting device
and make sure that the positioning is
correct (fully open) (Fig. M).
Pull the visor lock lever and position the
visor (Fig. O).
Lock the spare visor into place and close
the visor.
Choosing the right helmet size
Measure the circumference of your
head and choose the size of the helmet
accordingly. Try several helmets before
making a decision. With the helmet on,
the skin on your temples will ideally also
move.
Make sure that, even without the chinstrap
being tightened, the helmet does not have
much freedom of movement on the head.
For a secure t, the chinstrap must be
closed tightly. It ts correctly if you nd
it difcult to slide your ngers under the
chinstrap. However, you still need to be
able to breathe, swallow and turn your
head comfortably.
Convince yourself that the helmet was
tested according to the latest ECE
standard.
